David Hall Senior

Post by Thanomere84 »

Now, I dare not make too many assumptions, but I have a question, which is:

Should we be praying and asking God to help David W. Hall (the senior Hall) recover from whatever trauma his vile brother Vic "The Vicious Hall" Hall may have piled up onto him with this recent turn of events?

I know, my interactions with David Hall have been limited as I am in Malaysia. However, every time I met him, I perceived a very sincere, kind and gentle person. Even as Vic's facade of "good old Uncle Vic" started to drop and his speech, mannerisms and boasts became more frightening and with a hint of sharp steel behind the false kindness, David never gave me such an impression.

All the while I spoke to him, even into the 2010s, I never perceived any "false kindness shielding a black heart and malicious mind" kind of thing. To me, David Hall Senior seems to be far milder and perhaps even is more of a victim than an accomplice in Vic "The Vicious Hall" Hall's scheme of things.

So, should we support David in prayer? Should we pray that God will heal him of his wounds that have been inflicted heavily on him this time, and worse still, by his own brother?

Its an interesting question regarding ethics Thanomere84.
Is David Hall a victim yes. Is David Hall also a perpetrator also yes.
This is my personal opinion. If David Hall takes accountability for the damage he has caused and appoligises to those whom he has hurt then I can see his humanity. If he is truly sorry He needs to make amends to his victims not just say a prayer then turn around and say God forgave me. If he doesn't take any accountability for what he's done then I couldn't give a toss about him.

I believe we should be praying for all involved. Yes, even including Vic. It would be a miricle to see any change of heart, but I also believe that with God, anything is possible.

When things like this come up, it's always a good reminder that we need to have a humble attitude in all things. There is only one thing we should boast in, and that is the cross of Jesus i.e. what Jesus did for each one of us.

I also believe that God causes spiritual blindness for those who continually walk in their own self-righteousness. My personal opinion is that everything that's happened in Adelaide is because of God's kindness. It's the opportunity to turn to God and genuinely repent. And as has been pointed out, eveidence of genuine repentance would be seeking forgiveness and making things right with fellow believers.

It's also my opinion that David's brother Vic is spiritually blind, and only a cataclismic event, soverignly sent by God, will provide any opportunity for him to turn and repent, and make things right with all those who have been abused. Yep, that would be cataclismic!

So in short, I believe we should be praying for David, and all the others involved. Sometimes, though, It's difficult to know how to pray.

I also, see 2 sides to David Hall Snr:

1. That of a kind-hearted gentleman who genuinely seeks the Lord, having many other talents besides being the church Pastor and elder, including music and song with the Firebrands, choir and orchestra and a genuine desire to see people go on with God.

THEN VIC PUT IN HIS PENNYWORTH.
AKA VICTOR JOHN HALL.

2. Now i see David as a defeated man who took on board his brother Vic's personal edicts leading to his demise; and also that of his next generation.

Sure David has made a few errors as we all do, but he has got a very GOOD track record. (Interesting that this change has taken place since Yvonne's passing)

Also one last point on another subject re the Agape Meal:
In the book of Genesis we read that Abraham paid TITHES to Melchisedek the Great High Priest, who in turn administered to Abraham the BREAD and WINE. It does not say it was a meal. I Personally think that it would have been very hard for WLCF to change to an Agape meal and take away the traditional communion.
Please correct me if i am wrong on any of the aforementioned.

David Hall Senior is the master of projection. He is anything but kind and gentle.

I have experienced first hand his manipulation, control, brainwashing and heartache under his “leadership”
A narcissist at best. He has been truly awful and only thru intense therapy have I managed to recover from his torment.

Those who have experienced this under his Brother Vic know of this anguish and pain. David just knows how to hide it better in the Deep South. (Or did)

He has broken up countless families (including my own) enforced shunning, created trauma and shows no remorse.

Do better David Hall Senior, seek repentance and forgiveness for what you have done and the hurt and damage you been the mastermind in.

And as an absolute minimum reconnect with your youngest daughter who you have outcast for years. Shame on you.
