Coercive Control is a Crime in QLD from 2025
Queensland will criminalise coercive control by 2025, with penalties of up to 14 years in prison. While the laws focus on personal relationships, similar tactics of fear, isolation, and manipulation are common in religious groups.
What is tolerated under the guise of religious freedom may soon fall under these laws. As coercive control becomes a crime, religious groups using these methods could face the same legal consequences.

Guest, I don't fancy your chances of getting the tithes back. The tithes would have already been spent on Elders fishing retreats in Vic's motor boat and fine communion wine. Oh and don't forget double tithes and firstfruits tithes!
A number of years ago some guys in Maryborough had to sue the Wide Bay Christian Fellowship to get their loans repaid to them when they left. Made the newspapers and local media.

TRIGGER WARNING
Coercive control is a pattern of abusive behaviours.
I see heaps of signs of coercive control in CF. Today I will focus on one aspect of coercive control:
I have included quotes from HCF, MCF and BCF – all taken from meetings on 5 Jan 2025 to show how much they are all pushing this agenda of splitting up families and friendships. It is a bombardment. It is abuse. For those still in CF, it is wrong for them to demand you cut off from family and friends on the outside.
Tim Maurice- HCF- 5 Jan 2025
*from 1 July 2024 in NSW and 26 May 2025 in QLD- coercive control is illegal in intimate and family relationships. If you are experiencing this in your life, it is against the law*
Cutting you off from your friends and family or services.
For example, the person using coercive control:
• won’t let you leave your home without them going with you
• wants you to always stay at home, either with them or when they go out
• decides who you are allowed or not allowed to have contact with (e.g. friends, family, work colleagues), or how you can have contact (e.g. in person, online, or via phone)
• decides when you can have contact with friends and family
• continually criticises your friends and family or work colleagues
• humiliates you in front of your children, your or their friends, family or colleagues, and/or other people/members of the public
• makes you move or live away from people who are important to you or who you would like to live close to (e.g. friends, family, other support people)
• won’t allow you to attend appointments or to access the services you need (e.g. disability support services, medical appointments)
• won’t allow service providers to go into your home, to help you with your support needs
• won’t allow you time alone with people who visit your home or with people you have appointments with
• won’t allow you to use the car or public transport
• damages, won’t charge or won’t let you use mobility or communication devices.

Tim Maurice- HCF- 5 Jan 2025
“The Lord is just wanting to speak very clearly about the sword that he's brought to every house and that we are still very foolish and slow of heart to believe this. that many of us are still trying to patch things together that are flesh and spirit, and God is not pleased with what we are doing. and he sees what we do, and he's not pleased with it and it is the reason that some are offended, some are very blind, stuck, some are living still very strongly in their own sacramental religion and demanding that others eat at a table of demons, the family demons, which must be served above all else, above the Lord”
“He has brought a sword…He said I didn't come to bring peace in your family, I've come to bring a sword. Now why can we not accept that, and that if we're on the wrong side of that sword that is our choice, but we should not, we should leave matters alone and actually come across to the right side where the sanctification of the Spirit is.”
“… your marriage, the sanctification of your home, of your children, the sword has come to your house. This is not about playing happy middle-class families anymore. Please stop it. The fifties are not what you think they were anyway, they were corrupt.”
“Now if you will receive this and polarize, be polarized in, and let go of your demands where everything that the carnal does is excused and everything that the obedient saints do is condemned, where you are actually calling good evil and evil good through this action and believing in some way that you can join the agape meal, you are delusional. And God is against this, he's brought a sword. And this is meant to circumcise, because what is the flesh? It's the obligation that we have to what is part of us. Because it's part of us we believe in its goodness. That's whether it belongs to our own thoughts, our own perspective, our image and of course the extension of all of that is people who are of our own flesh."
“Now are you a disciple? Jesus said, you don't resolve the circumcision of the flesh in your family, you are not and cannot be my disciple. So I'm telling you, if you're unresolved in this, and I said it's in every home, you're not a disciple.”
MCF- Richie Kaa- 5 Jan 2025“Well, God is coming against all the things that exalt themselves as right, as good. Only God is good. … I think you need to answer, do you believe that? Because if you do believe that then you must let go of what you're hanging on to. and the Lord doesn't want factions in his body, where people are divided, he doesn't want divided families over this issue, where one's doing this and the other is doing that. but this is what we've got and it's in almost every house. every I'll say every house. and don't think it's not, if you think it's not, then you are completely out of touch with the Holy Spirit.”
“The Holy Spirit is not trying to synthesize or connect and integrate things, okay, rather he's coming to polarize things. I just want us to catch this picture of the work of the Holy Spirit, he's not coming to synthesise and bring things together, he's actually coming to polarise and push things apart. I think it's important that we appreciate then that the work of the Holy Spirit in regards to conviction is that it's a conviction so that there is a separation and a separating. So it does mean that he's pulling things apart and he's making them separate, that is, making separate what is spiritual and what is carnal, okay. He's not trying to connect what's incompatible, he's not trying to find a friendly middle ground of what is incompatible. So it’s very important that we don’t get caught in the trap of trying to find a middle ground of friendliness for what is absolutely incompatible, okay. The Holy Spirit is warring against that kind of an initiative. He's doing a work of convicting, not a work of connecting. And that's a very important point because many of us have grown up in the church with a mind that has tried to find the middle ground of friendship, the middle ground of connectedness”
“and I just want us to catch this point the judgment of the carnal person, and we could say the carnal Christian, will actually join with the world and discriminate against the spiritual. That's a big point for us to register because while ever we remain carnal, we remain vulnerable to actually being connected to the world and we will be those that discriminate against the spiritual.”
“Now for some of us one of the great dilemmas we're still contending with is that we're still drawn to things that are carnal and I'm talking about friendships and relationships, and it's a draw which has caused great tumult and great unsettledness in you. and I do believe that as much as you try and convince yourself otherwise and you try and work your way through how to do this and there's a lot of juggling going on about, how to spend Christmas Day and what not to do and what not to say and who to do it with and who not to do it with, and you can just even hear the weariness in it all can't you? There's a great weariness that's sitting in some of us because we're trying to work out how to juggle what is not meant to be juggled. because there's an incompatibility that we've got to stop being the arbiter of that, stop sitting in the seat of the judge to determine how we do and fulfill the will of God where in fact it's not in any way going to be fulfilled when we remain that person sitting on that seat. the Holy Spirit is coming to do this work with us and for us, he wants to lead us in all truth and he's wanting to help us by firstly setting us free from any carnal obligation, praise the Lord”
“Now for some of us we are rejoicing knowing that there is a convicting work of the Holy Spirit and for others of us we've already sided with the side we want to roll with and we're disappointed and we're upset even as I'm saying these things because it means that there's some kind of collision that you can no longer bury your head in the sand to avoid. There is a here because we've already said here this morning the carnal and the spiritual are incompatible.”
Concerning those who have received the Holy Spirit we will not minister this with an attempt to synthesize or combine or console or befriend or to accommodate those who are not spiritual. that's not what we're endeavouring to do, to make those who are not spiritual feel comfortable remaining not spiritual, you know. I'm trying to say this in a way that doesn't jar too much but just jars a little, is that possible? … there's a propensity in us that still wants to somehow roll out the red carpet of friendship to the world. those that are carnal ,those that are in the world, they don't want the,you know, they don't want the red carpet of the Christian rolled out, they want to come out of that, they've got to come out of that, you and I have got to continue to come out of that because we know that that's death and this is life”
“This is what the Holy Spirit is coming to help us with but it's never accommodating or promoting or facilitating mixture, most definitely that is not what the Holy Spirit's coming to do. Friendship with the world is hostility toward God, we know these scriptures don't we”
David – BCF Sermon- 5 Jan 2025Now let me just ask this really simple point concerning Sardis, if he's saying to the Presbytery be watchful, that's not some sort of passive, you know, activity is it where you know the Presbytery are asked to sort of cast their eyes over the agape meal on Sunday morning or watch everybody come and leave the church. That's not watchful. He's asking the presbytery to be spiritual and to discern the things that are running in the congregation, would that be fair… Now here's the other point we've got to hear, if he's asking the presbytery to be watchful, he's asking the sheep to be willing to be watched. So I'm asking you the question here today, are you, are we and I, are we together as a congregation willing to be watched over?
“I've called this the nature of obedience, this particular statement. Obedience in a natural sense is against my will. It is performing the will of another and denying my own desires."
“we note that Lot's wife was unable to forget her life and family in Sodom. She looks back in remembrance of her former life, she did not let go of those things behind, which the Lord had dedicated to destruction. Destruction is one of the meanings of the word Hades. It had been reserved for hell. So much of your what is behind is reserved for destruction. Therefore, we need to press forward, don't we? Forgetting what is behind.”

All of that talk and no backing it up with bible verses. If you're demanding people make such a huge change you need to be basing it in the bible. They are unable to do such a thing without cherry picking verses and going off on tangents. They talk about "bringing the sword" but ignore all the verses that speak about being loving and caring to all. If Jesus can eat meals with tax collectors and prostitutes XCF members can surely maintain relationships with non-XCF members

This church should just sit back and listen to itself.
Is that garbage what church is supposed to be about?
Thank-you BF for those transcripts.
Sending.flowers, remember they told us years ago that it’s a ‘fathered word’ and they are PROCLAIMING it to us,
They don’t need to show supporting Scriptures.

If they are no longer using the Bible to base their teachings they are heading down the path of no longer being Christian. If they want to not be Christian that's fine, that's their choice. If that's the case they should stop using the Bible and the term "Christian" in their name. XCF currently seems more a blend of Catholicism, Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses. The theology was bad when I was still in XCF - it has gone further and further from Christianity since.

TRIGGER WARNING IN QUOTES
Is RFI / CFO inciting harm and sabotage against people that have left?
We suspect one incident in January 2025.
Daily propaganda from RFI / CFO from yesterday (Monday 20 January 2025)?
The RFI / CFO language denies that it 'cuts off' or 'ostracizes' families or friends who leave.
The common term RFI / CFO people use is "we are commending them to Christ".
What appears to be happening further now, is that in some cases the "commending" could incite harmful actions against these people in an attempt to bring on God's judgement. A hardship upon a person who has left is twisted and manipulated by RFI / CFO as 'the Holy Spirit' or 'God's judgement' on a person for leaving RFI /CFO and/or not obey the leadership.

The need for sanctification
Achan’s deception and presumption brought judgement upon the house of Israel. Joshua and the people took Achan, the detestable items, his sons and daughters, and all that he possessed, and brought them to the Valley of Achor. There they stoned Achan and burned everything with fire. Through this action, the congregation was commending Achan and his household to the fellowship of Christ’s offering in which everything accursed was being taken out with Christ, in judgement. They did not compensate, in any way, for Achan’s corruption.
This account of Achan’s deception is a stark illustration of the reality that if one member of the body suffers, or sins, in relation to the fellowship of the agape meal, then all of the members suffer. 1Co 12:26. The impact of this corruption is shared by a whole community of believers. With this in view, we acknowledge that the Lord is presently sanctifying through judgement, ‘elect ladies’ in every city and town, in a very acute manner. We must give heed to this sanctifying initiative and seek the Lord for the salvation that belongs to deliverance from our religious presumption.
The apostle Paul highlighted the wickedness and blindness within a church where leaders and congregations remain leavened by former gospels and carnal expectations of the Christian faith. He wrote, ‘It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles – that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.’ 1Co 5:1‑2. On account of this leaven among them, they were unable to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; their agape meal was not true participation in the Passover. 1Co 5:6‑8.
