If anyone is like me, periodically you check the google reviews of the various CF churches to see if anyone has added anything new (and spicy).
Recently, there was a very telling review from a former BCFer, describing in detail the cult(ure) of BCF and sharing their own testimony of leaving & rediscovering the True Christ. Of course, the review was a 1 star, bringing down the overall rating of BCF, which has never exceeded 4 stars (usually hovers around 3-3.5 stars). Unfortunately, within a few days that review was taken down (likely reported by a BCFer). I wish this person would re-post their review in response to this silencing of the truth. No doubt these negative reviews warn potential seekers of the dangers of the CF churches, so we mustn't devalue their utility!
I think it is very telling to see the google reviews of a church, especially when a church consistently has ~3 stars or lower.
Anyway, I guess this is a post to encourage people to submit their experiences in the google reviews and get the message out there.
Google Reviews of the CFs
Re: Google Reviews of the CFs
Hi guest,
Here is the first half of that review I posted and has disappeared. I’ll get around to posting the full review again soon.
I went to BCF for 20 years as a kid to an adult. I walked away from them and the Lord but luckily figured life out and Jesus arms were open to me and found Him again in a REAL way in 2017. If you step out of line at BCF there isn’t grace or understanding there is discipline and exclusion to the extreme of being told not to come to church and being ostracized from your own family and friends. They’re actively told not see or have relationship with family and friends living outside of what they call Gods calling which is if you’re not at BCF. Insanely this directly contradicts with Jesus teaching where He had relationship with the worst people in those days and times eg tax collectors, adulterers, prostitutes etc and called them to a life with Him and free from sin. I love the people at BCF and pray for them to encounter Jesus and the Holy Spirit directly for themselves individually away from the direction and include of the ‘messenger’ that they sit on a pedestal equal to Jesus where they could actually hear directly from the Lord for themselves. They believe they are the body of Christ and most of the followers actually cannot clearly explain or interpret the word they hear and why they do what they do or back it up with scripture - it’s a confusion forced for conformance. Once you’re out your eyes are opened by the Holy Spirit and His word and the freedom in Christ and His body is beyond understanding I pray the members at this church realize this before it’s too late.
The problem is that the culture is not centred around Christ. The culture is centred around religiously following the ‘messenger’ and their ‘present truth’ which loosely is supported by scripture but contradicts the whole message of Jesus and salvation.

Re: Google Reviews of the CFs
Really good review, guest. It is well thought through and sincere. I remember reading the original google review and there was a paragraph toward the end that appeared to be copied and tidied up from one of the “recent teachings” thread posts. I only remember because I wrote the paragraph. So just in case there’s some weird reason it was taken down on account of copying and pasting, you have full permission to use it verbatim. But actually, the amended version you posted was better anyway.
Re: Google Reviews of the CFs
Thanks for posting guest! I'm glad you'll be getting round to re-posting this to the google review, I wonder how the presbyters feel when they read these sorts of telling reviews. I wonder if they feel there's truth within it, deep in their conscience.

Thanks all! I will repost it with other guests input I had in there, it was great commentary
Re: Google Reviews of the CFs
There needs to be a mass 1 star review and explanations from all the posters on this forum. That would get some decent coverage on the state of BCF.....
Re: Google Reviews of the CFs
I havent seen any google reviews, but from watching BCF/MCF online i can tell theyre very strange. Extremely creepy, even. They talk a lot about houses, names God has given them ,suffering and familier spirits and then theres the wierd songs. Sometimes they raise their hands when they "worship" ,but its all forced, and most of the people look dead inside,or miserable.Certainly no joy on their faces.I think most people are forced to learn to play an instrument, because theres no other way i can explain why so many of them are musicians. Its wierd! But my favourite is the older guy in the ponytail, who is in the choir. A lot of the time he's up the front, asleep ! its hilarious!

The dead music and general vibe among many other things- like legalism, was one of the main reasons I left. I would often ask, where is the joy?? Where is the liberty? That Christ gives us.
