I copied the following quote, which was posted by Haggai 1:7 on another thread:

The clarification around what Vic said is more pointing out that our own congregation regularly takes a whisper and reframes it as coming from leadership. And that is a large proponent of how these cultish styled practices spread super quickly. I alluded to ChristmasTreeGate previously ... I'll clarify what happened: a family testified that they had chosen not to have a christmas tree in their home one particular year for genuine reasons of forgetting the reason for the season kind of thing. This "testimony" was seen as accepted by the higher-ups and so many families followed suit and harshly judged anyone who still had a tree. We kept ours up of course and got to the point where one family came over and said "oh it is nice to finally see a tree in someone's home" - we also endured a lot of negative comments for having a tree but we wanted one so put one up. And then in the new years service Vic got up and said that he never said anything about not having a tree. This was one of my first stages of awareness of how judgemental and follow-the-crowd our congregation is. Are they scared of standing up given the styles of excommunication stories found on this site? Are they brain-dead / mindless sheep that don't know better? I actually would love to know.

This is no surprise to people but the latest word at MCF last weekend was that they “are all to be aware of the carnal versus spiritual warfare. CF are the spiritual and everyone else is the carnal. Spiritual people(the CF) are to cut off the carnal. It may hurt but it has to be done”. Ahh yeah no surprises here but this is further proof that they are determined to continue with the coercive control methods to keep themselves separated from others who don’t attend CF.
