I will check this with the Police on Monday. But I believe you will be able to use that QI number in any reports filed in NSW and other States. The Police in those other states may then issue you with another reference number specific to your report.

On another matter, I want to check with Police regarding the 41 women reporting coercive control. I want to check the details of the current coercive control laws and those which start in Queensland in May this year.

When I met with the Police, I described the CFO’s word on Headship. They said, ‘that’s smack bang in the middle of the definition of coercive control’ – meaning it’s against the law to coercively require a woman to obey directives such as what she wears, what she spends money on, whom she can see etc.

As mentioned by a streetcar guest in September last year, (viewtopic.php?t=237) the new Queensland coercive control laws prevent a person claiming religious beliefs as a justification for coercive control.

The laws also extend to other family members, potentially meaning that the threat of expulsion of a child from the family home may be regarded as coercive.

There was no chance during my meeting with the police to go into that in any detail. Once I’m sure, I’ll post those details, because if nothing else the coercive control laws should give these woman the chance to push back against any of the more damaging interpretations of ‘Headship’.

We have reports that women within the CFO are being told that ‘a good wife is a silent and obedient wife’. This can easily be taken to an extreme.

But of course our fears go much further when it comes to the CFO's word on Headship. We are also concerned that women may even be expected to unreasonably comply with their husband’s sexual appetite under the guise of being obedient to the headship word.

And we have reports (plural) of forced and arranged marriages where women report being told they had to marry a particular man even though they didn’t want to.

I honestly think the word on CFO style Headship and other coercive practices are on a collision course with the law and I really hope some of these women will contact us or the Police to address this very serious issue.

An investigation into these things is called for to confirm or dispel our concerns.

I won’t make any direct comment about any one person. There has been no investigation and no charges against anyone at this time. The presumption of innocence is of the highest importance, and I know you respect that principle.

Like you, I am advocating for an investigation to confirm or dispel concerns raised in this forum.

Now in answer to your question, yes I believe your testimony will help corroborate other testimonies about the character and conduct of individuals within the CFO if they are found to have broken the law.

We would be very pleased to receive your testimony. There’s plenty of time for that, as we are just at the early stages of our work.

I will also say a huge, huge, I mean HUGE thank you to everyone involved with Samson Rising. Just knowing something is being done in notifying the proper authorities settles me. My family is still under the clutches of pope hubris, but my great hope is their eyes will be open and those ugly scales of victum wreckus will fall off.

Wow, who would have ever thought that we would be at this place in time. I left Melbourne Christian Fellowship in 2000. OR was asked to leave.

Ray Jackson and April Jackson asked me to make a choice of obeying the messenger of God "stay and obey" (Ray - messenger) or to leave. BUT if I left, I was ordered to leave my children with Ray and April. At the time they were 5, 10 and 13. IF i did not leave the children they would take me to court and prove that I was an unfit mother and would never see my children again. Stupidly they said this in front of a realtive of mine who attended this brutal meeting.

This is a very small part of my 36 years at Melbourne Christian Fellowship. Many of you know me. I have stayed silent, observing Streetar from afar for a long time now. I still have many family at MCF and BCF and kept quiet in the hope that I could be a bridge to help others out. I now realise that this is hopeless and that the CF'S continue their multiple abuses and are in some ways getting worse. I also know of many with hideous stories who like me have stayed quiet because of children and grandchildren still in the cult.

At this stage of the game I have decided to tell my story and have been in contact with Samson in the very small hope that it may help somehow. I have nothing to loose at this stage so I am posting as Lisa Hunt nee (Cooper).

Sir Desmond Tutu says it so well: “There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.” ~ Desmond Tutu

Mercy is pulling people out of the river and responding compassionately to immediate needs or suffering. It often involves alleviating the consequences of an issue, without necessarily addressing its root cause.

JUSTICE on the other hand, seeks to address the underlying cause of the problem and create a fairer system. It involves investigating why bodies are floating in the river and working to prevent such situations from occurring again.

Many of us can contribute mercifully when and wherever we can, Samson is working on behalf of Justice. For this they have my heartfelt thanks and full support. Thank you to all involved at Samson for their compassion, courage and commitment to pursuing justice.

May we all act justly and love mercy in the coming days and months and support each other in the darkest times of flash backs and triggering as we tell our stories and as we support those fighting for Justice on our behalf. THANK YOU.

We do need you and others to come forward not necessarily police-wise / legally . . but just in the brute-force VOLUME of testimony that will bolster the regulatory breech case we bring to the ACNC that should bring this hideous organization’s downfall. (And in that I’m still a believer in the teachings that were biblically good).

He’s not taking this lying down and is dedicated to reconciliation with his family and community, the delivery of justice and restitution for the oppressed and the hope that our old xCF community could even *somehow* be retained with Godly new leadership.

Only God knows how much of that we can achieve.
